Steve Mitchell, LMT (he/him)

Steven is an expert bodyworker, athlete, and meditator. He was drawn to his field in the 80’s, when he was first cycling, experimenting with triathlons, and rehabbing his own catastrophic back injury. 

Steve graduated from the Downeast School of Massage in 1996, (sports/neuromuscular emphasis) as a licensed massage therapist. Since then he has worked at some of the premier health clubs and resorts in the state, accruing more than 50,000 treatment hours and even more continuing his education. He spent 15 years at The CliffHouse Resort and Spa, where he remained the most requested therapist on staff. 

Steve focuses on treating clients dealing with limitations of injury due to accidents, trauma, or bio-mechanical issues involving injury, overtraining, occupational demands, and daily stress. 

Various bodywork techniques, include orthopedic-based rehabilitative work, structural re-integration, neuromuscular education, and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization.

Steven has been a masters competitor/coach in nordic skiing, and has even competed fairly recently!
